Why a Horse Ride in Hurghada Is a Nice Change of Pace

No engine. No noise. Just you, a horse, and the Red Sea.

You ride along the beach or through the desert, sometimes right into the shallow water. The sun is out, the breeze is cool, and the horse does all the work.

It's relaxing. It's a little bit special. And it's a great break from boats and buses.

What to Expect

Pickup from your hotel in the morning or late afternoon (sunset rides are popular). Short drive to the stable.

You get a helmet, meet your horse, and get a quick "how to steer and stop" talk. Don't worry if you've never ridden before — the horses are calm and the guide stays with you.

Then you ride. Usually 1 to 2 hours. Along the beach, through shallow water, maybe into the desert a bit.

If you book a sunset ride, you'll be out there when the sky turns orange and the water gets glassy.

After the ride, they drive you back to your hotel.
